
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who arrived in Iran on Saturday for a two-day official visit aimed at facilitating dialogue and promoting regional peace, held talks with his Iranian counterpart on bilateral ties and regional developments.
Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue and promote regional peace.
Upon his arrival at the airport, the Pakistani federal interior minister was warmly received by his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Mo’meni.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the two interior ministers held a bilateral meeting during which they engaged in detailed discussions on Iran-Pakistan relations and the prospects for the resumption of peace negotiations.
The meeting also covered issues of mutual interest, including sustainable peace in the region and the latest regional developments.
Iran’s interior minister praised the “sincere and committed efforts” of Chief of the Army Staff of the Pakistan Army Field Marshal Asim Munir to resolve the ongoing conflict and commended Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
