According to the Saudi Press Agency, Merkel took the chance to congratulate Prince Mohammad on being chosen as the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. She also congratulated him on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr.
The German Chancellor also expressed condemnation towards the recent terror plot, which targeted the city of Makkah.
