Iraq intends to continue destroying Daesh militants, including on the territory of neighboring countries, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari told Sputnik.
Sputnik – On Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi announced he had authorized the Iraqi Air Force to conduct strikes against Daesh in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province.
"The strategy of the Iraqi security forces is to fight Daesh as long as they present a threat to the national security of the Iraqi side … but as long as they present or they hold a threat to the Iraqi national security we will continue pursue and eliminate members of Daesh at any territories," Jaafari said.
