Two people have died and dozens have been injured after a fire took hold of a hotel in central Prague.
The Eurostars David Hotel set alight at about 7pm local time (6pm GMT) on Saturday.
Eight people were rushed to hospital with serious injuries, Jana Postova, a Prague rescue services spokeswoman said.
She added three people had to be resuscitated.
"Unfortunately we were not able to help two people," Prague Emergency Medical Service said on Twitter.
The hotel is just one block away from the Vltava River and near the National Theatre, in the Prague2 district, popular with British tourists.
Rescue officials earlier said 40 people were injured.
It is believed they were mostly treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and not taken to hospital.
