Iran will not Allow Inspections of Facilities that do not Fall within Nuclear Agreement

The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that Tehran will not allow any party to enter facilities that do not fall within the nuclear agreement. It also confirmed that the inspection that will be allowed into its facilities must be in accordance with Iranian internal policy.

According to what Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, stated Tehran will continue to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) but will not allow it to bypass the redlines defined by the regime.

Qassemi added that any inspection of Iranian facilities will be in accordance with his country’s domestic policy, which will not allow any party to enter facilities that do not fall within the framework of its nuclear agreement with the six major powers (US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) which they have agreed upon more than two years ago.

These statements came after Nikki Haley, the United States UN representative, paid a visit to the IAEA in Vienna and after told a press conference that inspections should include additional military locations in Iran.

Haley also said that Iran has a history of lying and covering up secret locations. She urged the IAEA)to use all its powers and to pursue every possible means in order to ensure compliance with the nuclear agreement.

The dispute between Washington and Tehran coincides increased tensions between Washington and Tehran.
