Syrian army units have advanced about 15
kms east of central Hama province, allowing the liberation of seven
villages hitherto occupied by the Islamic State (IS) or DAESH, military
sources said.
Among the villages liberated by Syrian Army are Bir-al-Semila, Bir al-Aqar and Rajm al-Hayana, as detailed by the Army.
This achievement was carried out, after a strong offensive, Syrian troops swept through IS trenches in the region of Salamieh, northeast of Hama.
These victories, following harsh combats, allow the Syrian Army to concentrate its military operations on the Bilaas mountains, ' whose liberation is termed essential to split the DAESH positions in the eastern part of Hama.'
Since March 2011, Syria has been plunged into a bloody war by Western powers, which, along with the loss of thousands of civilians, has damaged the economy by more than USD $200bn, according to official sources.
