Over 23,500 websites promoting suicide revealed in Russia since 2012
Russia’s consumer rights protection agency Rospotrebnadzor announced on Wednesday that more than 23,500 so-called suicide websites had been revealed since 2012, the watchdog announced on Wednesday.

on Wednesday that more than 23,500 so-called suicide websites had been
revealed since 2012, the watchdog announced on Wednesday.
The websites contained banned information on description of ways to commit suicide with photos, videos and images, and calls for such departure from life including children and mass suicide. This information was often published on social media, the watchdog stated.
In total, Rospotrebnadzor examined over 25,000 websites.
Rospotrebnadzor is working closely with law enforcement bodies in this field, the agency added.
