Araghchi, IAEA's Grossi discuss coop. in Geneva

Araghchi had earlier announced that he would hold deep technical discussions during his meeting with Grossi on Monday, where a team of Iranian nuclear experts will be present.

According to the announced schedule, the top Iranian diplomat will also meet with his Omani counterpart, Badr Al-Busaid before the start of indirect negotiations with the United States.

Like the previous round of Iran-US talks in Muscat last week, Al-Busaid will play the intermediary role between the delegations of the two countries in the Swiss city.

Araghchi wrote on X early in the morning that he is in Geneva with real ideas to achieve a fair and equitable deal, adding that submission before threats is not on the negotiation table, a reference to anti-Iran rhetoric and pressure.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, accompanied by a high-ranking diplomatic and specialized delegation, arrived in Switzerland on Sunday night. Apart from attending the second round of talks with the US, he would also address the United Nations’ Conference on Disarmament.
