Pezeshkian hails massive turnout at 47th Islamic Revolution anniversary rallies

In a message on Wednesday afternoon, Pezeshkian described the people's meaningful presence in rallies nationwide as a clear message to the world of their resilience and resistance to the oppressors.

He said that the people displayed brilliant scenes of solidarity, national belonging, and a sense of responsibility for the country's future, redoubling the duty of responsible managers and officials in responding to relevant public demands.

The President stated in his message that the people are showing their revolutionary fever at a time when the enemies and ill-wishers are using various tactics, including cruel economic sanctions, aggression, a media and propaganda war, as well as chaos and unrest, to discourage them from the ideals of the Revolution.

Saluting the vigilance of the Iranian people, the President said he would remain committed to, and stand by the promises he made, adding that his administration is determined to fulfill the demands and gain the public satisfaction, by carrying out structural and economic reforms to eliminate discrimination and injustice.

He said that the people are the most important capital who can help the government carry out great works. "If we join hands, we will be able to overcome all our problems and build a brighter future for our beloved Iran."

Pezeshkian concluded by honoring the memory of all martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and expressing gratitude to the Iranian people for showing unity, dignity, and authority of Iran on Wednesday.

Today, speaking at a ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, attended by thousands of people in Tehran on Wednesday, the president honored the memory of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution and the martyrs, stressing the continuation of Imam Khomeini’s path and adherence to the Leader.

Referring to the massive turnout of people across the country, Pezeshkian said the world must witness how the Iranian nation has taken to the streets in large numbers in cities and towns nationwide to safeguard the Revolution and follow the leadership. He described the huge turnout of people as a demonstration in defense of the country, its values, and the protection of Iran’s land, water, and proud homeland.

The president said certain currents, using media and propaganda tools, are attempting to create anxiety in society and among the youth, describing this as one of the country’s serious challenges. Apologizing to the Iranian nation as the president for existing shortcomings and deficiencies, he said the administration is exerting all its efforts to address problems and, with God’s help and under the wise leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, will resolutely continue the path toward resolving issues despite all barriers and pressures.

Pezeshkian emphasized that achieving comprehensive development requires internal unity and cohesion, adding that today more than ever the country needs solidarity and integrity in the face of threats, conspiracies, and deviations that may mislead or deceive some young people.
