The Islamic Republic of Iran and TV BRICS are developing cooperation in mass communications. Tabnak, one of the country's leading information and analytical agencies, is joining the international information exchange through the international media network. The agreement on joint activities was signed by CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova and General Director of Tabnak Mehdi Ahmadi Asl.

The cooperation between the media outlets is aimed at developing a common information space of BRICS, promoting humanitarian, cultural and business cooperation among the members and partners of the association, and strengthening international ties with the professional media community. TV BRICS and Tabnak will exchange information materials and participate in the creation of joint projects.

"BRICS holds a special place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and increasing interaction with the countries of this group, especially in the media field, is of great importance. Tabnak considers cooperation with TV BRICS as a basis for better understanding of BRICS members in political, economic, cultural and social spheres and, for its part, endeavours to present a more accurate understanding of Iran as well as to provide Persian-speaking audiences inside and outside the country with an accurate image of the members of this association. Undoubtedly, this media cooperation can further strengthen the integration process taking shape within BRICS," said Mehdi Ahmadi Asl.

Tabnak is one of Iran's leading news and analysis agencies. It was founded in 2009. It specialises in socio-political topics of national and international level. It works in three languages: Persian, Arabic, and English. The Tabnak website is visited by more than one million users daily.

Janna Tolstikova, Director General of TV BRICS, expressed confidence that in the person of Tabnak, the international media network has found a reliable professional partner that produces news and analyses that are in high demand in their country.

"The information exchange with Tabnak will enrich the BRICS+ media space with unique content that fully and objectively reflects the cultural wealth and national identity of the republic. Through TV BRICS, Iran's agenda becomes available to all our media partners, which are more than 100 major media outlets from 29 countries, and the distribution area of the international media network's materials reaches 80 countries. We are open to cooperation with all media, for whom participation in the creation of a common information space is an opportunity to present the history, culture, traditions and business potential of their countries, to strengthen international dialogue, friendship and mutual understanding," said Janna Tolstikova.

TV BRICS partners in Iran are also the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), IRNA news agency and Mehr Media Group. In addition to Iran, in the Middle East, the international media network cooperates with media outlets in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

In 2024, TV BRICS hosted the world premiere of the documentary film "Noqte" about the art of Iranian calligraphy, produced with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation. In order to develop international cultural relations, the international media network supported the Russian-Iranian art exhibition "Patterns of Friendship" as a general media partner, which was held at the venues of both countries.
