In this round of talks, the Iranian delegation will be headed by Araqchi, and the American delegation by Steve Witkoff, the country's chief negotiator. In today's talks, Michael Anton, the Director of Political Planning at the US State Department, who also heads the US expert team, will accompany Witkoff.

Today talks will be held, like the second round of talks, at one of the diplomatic locations belonging to the Omani Embassy in Rome.

According to the plan, the Iranian Foreign Minister will also meet and consult with the Omani Foreign Minister, who will serve as a mediator and intermediary for these talks, before the official start of the talks.

The fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States is being held in Italy today, with the issue of enrichment in Iran becoming one of the major challenges of the talks.

The Americans insist on stopping enrichment in Iran, but Iranian officials have emphasized that enrichment is a red line for Tehran and is not an issue that can be negotiated.

On the eve of the fifth round of Iran-US talks, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on the social network X: I am leaving for Rome for the fifth round of indirect talks with the US. Finding a path to reaching an agreement is not a complicated equation:

Zero nuclear weapons = we have an agreement.

Zero enrichment = there is no agreement.

Addressing the Americans, he emphasized: it is time to make decision ..
