Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, has announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Tehran on Monday as part of ongoing high-level consultations between the two countries.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Jalali said that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin met last week in Awaza, Turkmenistan, marking their third meeting within a month.
He emphasized that, given the rapidly evolving developments, the close collaboration between Tehran and Moscow goes beyond their bilateral agenda, encompassing regional and international issues.
The ambassador added that the Iran-Russia partnership is grounded in both countries’ commitment to preserving and promoting peace, stability, and security in their surrounding regions, free from interference or disruption by external actors.
