Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said that launching a new war against Iran would be illogical for the US, but the possibility of such an attack remains real because the Trump administration needs an achievement ahead of the US midterm elections.

He stressed that Iran is prepared to respond forcefully to any renewed aggression. “This time, the consequences for the US will be far more painful,” he warned.

General Mohebbi noted that Iran had relied mainly on its older-generation weapons during the 40-day war, but has since gained access to much more advanced weaponry.

He also criticized the way the US public is informed about foreign wars, saying Americans are being kept from understanding the realities of their country’s military campaigns because mainstream media actively conceal the truth about such brutal acts of aggression.

The spokesman also rejected US officials’ claims that Iran’s authorities are divided and do not cooperate with one another, describing the allegations as “completely false.” He said the claims are being made solely to justify Washington’s failures in the war.
