In a message acknowledging the communication from Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, on the occasion of Government Week, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that we assure the great nation of Iran and the cherished Leadership that, in complete unity and cohesion with the other branches of government, we will safeguard the country's authority and dignity as we pursue a path of flourishing and progress.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran wrote on his X account that the affectionate and prudent message from the esteemed Leader of the system to the 14th administration and myself represents a continuation of the constructive and unparalleled support of the exalted Leader—the martyr of the Islamic Revolution.
Pezeshkian emphasized: "We assure the great nation of Iran and the dear Leadership that, in complete unity and cohesion with the other branches of government, we will safeguard the country's authority and dignity as we pursue a path of flourishing and progress."
The Leader made the remarks on Friday in a message marking Government Week, which is held annually to commemorate former President Mohammad Ali Rajai and Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, both assassinated in the bombing of the prime minister’s office on August 30, 1981.

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The first week of the month of Shahrivar (late August) each year is an occasion to highlight the services rendered by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This year, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is honored that Government Week coincides with the blessed, auspicious birth anniversaries of two figures who were born in the month of Rabi al-Awwal (may God’s blessings and peace be upon them and their Progeny.)
I would like to take this occasion as an opportunity to extend my congratulations and commendations to all the personnel and managers working in government bodies, particularly the sincere, devoted President of the 14th Administration. This is especially fitting in light of the worthy measures they’ve taken despite the various constraints and the conspiracies of the US-Zionist enemy, along with their intensified sanctions and blockades throughout the Third Imposed War and its aftermath. The government has worked to provide the essential goods and services needed by the people, to repair critical damaged areas, and to manage energy needs.
It's also fitting to honor the memory of the martyred presidents, Mohammad-Ali Rajai and Ebrahim Raisi; the martyred prime minister, Mohammad-Javad Bahonar; and the martyred staff, managers, and ministers of the various administrations. Above all, we should honor the memory of our illustrious, martyred Leader who also served nearly two terms as President. We beseech God to grant them all exalted ranks and His divine grace.
The opportunity to serve the people and help advance the goals of the Islamic Republic is a valuable blessing that should be cherished. At this time, in the midst of the critical, complex conditions that are complicating the realization of a “stronger-than-ever Iran,” one of the essential requisites for achieving this objective – in addition to round-the-clock efforts and continuous innovation – is the necessity to articulate and narrate the power and strength of Iran and the dear Iranian nation.
Weaknesses, shortcomings, and deficiencies don’t need to be emphasized or highlighted. Rather, those matters require planning and action to resolve and overcome the problems. At times, a person’s honest detailing of their own weaknesses at a time when the enemy needs a boost In morale serves as a great aid to them. In addition, such an action may well fill the hearts of our friends and supporters with anxiousness, making them bewildered and uncertain. Of course, whenever the audience of these sincere statements is solely our own people and our well-wishers, there’s no need for such a concern. But strength, power, and positive achievements, in accordance with the Quranic injunction, “And as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it!” (93:11), require discussion and highlighting.
The dear people of Iran have demonstrated their true caliber over the past six months in their various demonstrations of jihad against the enemy, their presence in the (country’s) squares, and their cohesion, empathy, and solidarity. They deserve and are entitled to be able to perceive the dedicated services of the Islamic Republic’s governing branches and official bodies, which are working toward achieving the desired standard that is befitting of this sacred system and the exalted station of a nation that has risen up for a divine mission.
Undoubtedly, the matters outlined below are at the very core of the serving administration’s programs or are featured in its list of objectives in some way. Stating them here is purely to serve as a reminder.
One such matter is the necessity of paying serious attention to the chain of economic-livelihood challenges, such as inflation, unemployment, price management, and the market for goods and services.
Equally vital is giving special attention to other economic matters, including economic growth, increasing investment, steering investment toward beneficial, necessary sectors, boosting production, gradually phasing out the US dollar from it playing a pivotal role, and ultimately bringing the comprehensive policies of the “Economy of Resistance” to play a central role.
The most important key to resolving all these issues lies in placing ever-greater emphasis on domestic production. Of course, ensuring a sufficient supply of both general and specialized goods is also an absolute necessity. Keeping this in mind, in cases where domestic production is still insufficient, imports must be made use of correctly and wisely. Naturally, encouraging production while simultaneously managing imports and prices can bring about a situation where the dark spots that are tarnishing the country’s economic landscape gradually shrink until they vanish entirely.
In this economic arena, although the enemy’s behavior during and after war is not without an impact, the increasingly astute management of the various components of the economy – while seeking assistance in certain matters from the general public, benefiting from specialists and innovators in other matters, and activating new capacities at the same time – will steer the country toward prosperity and progress.
The sworn enemy of this nation seeks to insinuate that the path to prosperity and progress passes through submission to them and their unreasonable demands. However, seeing what they’ve inflicted on this country and its resources in past times – even in the years before the Islamic Revolution – shows us the exact opposite.
Among other significant issues and topics is the subject of the adoption of technologies and innovations proposed by our young elites. At times, the timely use of this advantage (which is at our disposal) and stepping away from routine procedures and customary habits in a given field brings about an effective leap in the path the country is traversing toward progress and excellence. This is possible in all domains that hold power, including agriculture, industry, culture, education, communications, and social affairs.
Furthermore, another fundamental issue for the country that must always be at the center of attention for the administration, government officials, and all authorities and state bodies is the issue of the preservation of unity and safeguarding cohesion in society. Every action taken in any of the major spheres of culture, society, politics, security, and the economy must be undertaken with due thought given to the possible effects on social cohesion.
Some measures may seem to have supporters in certain segments of society. However, if those measures don’t take social cohesion into consideration, or if they ignore that consideration in their actions, they may inflict harm on those very segments as well as on other segments of society.
Unquestionably, any rhetoric that increases feelings of despair or undermines national and public morale, as well as any forms of illusory dichotomies – such as “war versus negotiations,” “consensus versus radicalism,” or “compromise versus warmongering,” which in the past have caused either direct or indirect losses to our dear people – can have the exact same detrimental effects from here on. Therefore, I decisively declare that doing anything detrimental to social cohesion is strictly prohibited.
Another important issue is giving strategic-level attention to the matters of culture, education, and character development. The term “strategic-level” signifies that the formulation of all other strategies must be carried out with due consideration given to this matter.
In this regard, paying attention to those segments of society that are a source for nurturing a positive, constructive culture – such as teachers in the public education system, universities, and Islamic seminaries (hawzas), as well as nurses and physicians who have dedicated themselves to serving in non-private institutions – has a special importance.
Equally important is honoring the contributions of homemakers, who within the sanctuary of their own homes teach the most delicate details of a beautiful, desirable future culture to each and every child in this land.
It’s hoped that implementing these points, along with the other beneficial measures that, praise God, are a part of the government’s agenda, will propel our dear country toward a “stronger-than-ever Iran,” making all those who strive on this path worthy of the special attention of our Master’s [Imam Mahdi’s] (may God hasten his noble reappearance) special attention, benevolent prayers, and guidance.
