Becoming technology owner mission of Mobarakeh Steel Group

On Saturday, the 2nd of Esfand, the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, along with a number of deputies, senior managers, and company executives, attended the Steelmaking and Continuous Casting Area. In a friendly atmosphere, he met and spoke with employees performing their prayers in the facility.

According to a Steel correspondent, Saeed Zarandi, in his remarks, congratulated the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and appreciated the efforts of all colleagues and contractors across various departments.

He then inspected the production process in the area and, in a meeting with the manager and heads of the Steelmaking and Continuous Casting Area after receiving the performance report, said: “Fortunately, we are witnessing that in the first eleven months of this year, production has reached its highest level compared to the same period in previous years. With God’s help and the efforts of our colleagues, the target has been set to reach 7.5 million tons, which would mark the highest production record in the operational history of Mobarakeh Steel—an extremely blessed achievement for the company.”

Constructive proposals to improve productivity and reduce costs

He continued by appreciating employees’ efforts in achieving company goals and stated: “If this production increase is accompanied by higher productivity and maximum cost reduction, it will undoubtedly have several times greater value. Therefore, in cooperation with the company’s management team, all employees must pay greater attention and seriousness to presenting constructive and practical proposals aimed at improving productivity and reducing costs.”

He added that all employees in different units should reflect on the goals and carefully consider what major or innovative initiatives they can propose for the year 1405 (2026–2027), even beyond their current responsibilities.

Timely supply of materials and equipment for production stability

The importance of timely supply of materials, goods, equipment, and spare parts required for production continuity was another key topic raised by the CEO. He said: “Managers and experts in operations and procurement must, with full coordination and consensus, hold joint meetings to identify and resolve bottlenecks and challenges so that production line colleagues have no concerns regarding the supply of required parts and materials.”

1404 (2025–2026): one of the most difficult years for the steel industry

Zarandi described the year 1404 as one of the most difficult years for the industry, especially the steel sector, adding: “Continuing energy restrictions and particularly liquidity shortages were among the most important challenges. We tried to manage these issues without creating disruption or any gap in the production process.”

Optimization of succession planning procedures

Referring to workforce performance and organizational sustainability, he also highlighted the importance of revising and optimizing succession planning procedures as another key agenda item. He stated: “Upgrading high-quality talent and retaining skilled employees are both highly important and valuable; therefore, neither should harm the other.”

He further referred to Mobarakeh Steel’s capabilities and achievements in indigenization and institutionalized knowledge, emphasizing: “We must document and leverage this experience and knowledge to move more strongly toward becoming a technology-owning organization. This strategy should essentially be considered one of the core missions of Mobarakeh Steel Group.”
