In a post on his X account on Wednesday night, Qalibaf denounced the US violations of a ceasefire through a naval blockade and ongoing actions by the Israeli regime, asserting that pressure and coercion would not achieve results and that the only solution lies in recognizing the rights of the Iranian nation.
“A full ceasefire is meaningful only when it is not violated by a naval blockade and the taking hostage of the global economy, and when Zionist warmongering on all fronts is halted,” Qalibaf said.
“Reopening the Strait of Hormuz is not possible amid a blatant violation of the ceasefire,” he warned.
“They (the US and the Israeli regime) did not achieve their objectives through military aggression, nor will they achieve them through bullying. The only way is to accept the rights of the Iranian nation,” Qalibaf underlined.
