In a post on his X account on Saturday, Ghalibaf cited a recent statement from Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir who reportedly warned two days earlier that the “IDF is going to collapse in on itself” because of an acute manpower shortage.

"I'm raising 10 red flags…the IDF will collapse into itself," Ghalibaf said, citing Zamir.

"By escalating tensions and attacking Iran's industrial infrastructure, the criminal Zionist regime is attempting to ignore these warnings and restore the confidence of its corrupt cabinet and army," the top parliamentarian reminded in his post.

Ghalibaf warned the Tel Aviv regime about the consequences of its failure to heed the call of its own military commander, saying, "Iran's fierce response will accelerate this ongoing collapse [of the regime's army]."

Zamir was cited by the media as saying during the cabinet meeting that the Israeli army is collapsing from within.

Raising the highest level of warning, Zamir also called for the need to restore the conscription law and the mandatory extension of military services, saying the reserved forces do not have the necessary resilience.
