Iran FM talks with Egyptian, Saudi, Turkish counterparts amid tensions with US
TABNAK, Feb. 02 - Continuing diplomatic consultations with regional countries, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey to discuss the latest regional and international developments.

The talks, held on Sunday, focused on reviewing current developments in the region and beyond.
Araqchi has, in recent weeks, maintained extensive contacts with regional counterparts as part of Iran’s diplomatic efforts, particularly to exchange views on regional developments and US threats against Iran.
His regional outreach comes at a time of heightened tension between Iran and the US, marked by increasingly sharp rhetoric from US officials and repeated references to the option of military action against Iran.
On Sunday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned that any new war initiated by the United States would turn into a regional conflict.
“Americans should know that if they start a war this time, it would be a regional war,” the Leader stated.
