Iran, Germany discuss mutual concerns, nuclear talks with US and IAEA
TABNAK, Jun. 03 - Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with German Foreign Minister to discuss bilateral relations and key issues of mutual concern, as well as the latest situation on Nuclear talks with the IAEA and indirect talks with the U.S.

The call signals renewed diplomatic movement between Tehran and European capitals amid ongoing indirect Iran-U.S. talks. Both sides expressed interest in confidence-building steps and continued multilateral engagement.
The call comes as indirect diplomacy between Iran and the United States over sanctions relief and nuclear commitments, which is underway.
During the call, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, "We are ready to take effective steps toward improving bilateral relations, based on the understandings already reached."
He expressed hope for better ties with Germany and highlighted Iran’s readiness to take "effective steps" based on prior understandings.
He also stressed the importance of a constructive European role in nuclear negotiations.and reaffirmed Iran’s willingness to continue dialogue with the E3 (Germany, France, the UK) and the EU.
For his part, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul welcomed the phone call and emphasized Germany’s reciprocal willingness to pursue both bilateral and multilateral talks.
He also called for expanded trust-building measures between the two countries, Iran press reported.
