“The IRGC, grounded in the ideals of the founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and Iran's eternal martyrs, and guided by the wise directives of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stands at the peak of strength and readiness,” the IRGC said in a statement on Saturday.
The IRGC continuously enhances its comprehensive defensive preparedness across all fronts, it reiterated.
“In close coordination with other armed forces, we remain trigger-ready to deliver a decisive, regret-inducing response, beyond imagination, to any hostile enemy action,” it added.
The IRGC statement was issued to mark the anniversary of the Iranian Armed Forces' liberation of Khorramshahr—a southern city captured during the 1980-88 war, which Iraq had initiated under Saddam Hussein's dictatorship.
"The youth of Iran, inspired by this model of resistance and the historical epic, can triumph in new Khorramshahr battles,” it said, adding that they can defeat the enemy in today's multi-dimensional hybrid warfare just as their young commanders did before, shattering the adversary's calculations with Iran's endogenous strength.
"Soon, the mighty hand of regional nations and the soldiers of Islam will come down upon the Zionist corruption, ushering in winds of peace and stability across the region,” the statement further said.
The IRGC said that Iran's response will not only force regret upon arrogant aggressors but fundamentally reshape regional power equations in favor of the righteousness front, against the United States and its Zionist proxy regime in West Asia.
The statement said that the same revolutionary spirit that enabled Iran’s forces to accomplish the impossible against Saddam's regime and its backers now empowers all Iranians to break barriers in every field, PressTV reported.
"Iran and Iranians can achieve the impossible across economic, cultural, and security spheres through revolutionary perseverance—forging a path to elevate the nation to new pinnacles of power and honor in the modern era,” it added.
