TABNAK, Aug, 18: Sajjad Hasehmi has broken world records several times and won several world medals has also chosen a Turkish name for himself ‘Serkan Yuldrim’ as his second name as he put it.

He is has joined Turkish national blind and visually impaired national team since 2024.

According to Hashemi, he found something was wrong with his eyes since he was 10 and that is why he joined Paralympics Games.

He said that he has not taken asylum in Turkey and the country has called for him to become a Turkish national, a proposal accepted by Hashemi.

The Iranian athlete continued he has received proposals from Qatar, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, however he chose Turkey because of better financial support.

According to Hashemi who is now 33 and would not be able to run after next 2 years, he is expected to become sports advisor to Turkish Minister of Sports if he manages to win medals in Paralympics Games.
