Iraqi Islamic Resistance claims responsibility for downing US refueling aircraft
TABNAK, Mar. 13 - The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has claimed responsibility for targeting and downing a US Army transport refueling aircraft in western Iraq.

On Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq issued an official statement claiming that its fighters successfully intercepted a KC-135 strategic aircraft belonging to American occupation forces in western Iraq.
The statement emphasized that the operation was conducted with “appropriate weapons,” leading to the downing of the aircraft.
Earlier morning, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that one of its KC-135 refueling aircraft had crashed due to an air accident in Iraq.
