Iran's South Pars produces 600 million cubic meters of sweet gas daily

TABNAK, Jan. 20 - The managing director of the South Pars Gas Complex Company says the complex’s 13 refineries are operating at full readiness to supply household gas, injecting 600 million cubic meters of sweetened gas into the national transmission network each day.

Gholamabbas Hosseini made the remarks at a meeting of the complex’s Strategic Council, stressing the importance of maintaining the stability of the gas supply chain under adverse weather conditions.


He said the South Pars refineries, through the round-the-clock efforts of specialists and staff, are transferring 600 million cubic meters of sweet gas daily to the nationwide pipelines.
Hosseini added that from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2025) to date, more than 163 billion and 606 million cubic meters of gas have been sweetened across the South Pars refineries and injected into the national grid for domestic consumption, Irna reported.


Referring to plans for major overhauls of the refineries in the next Iranian year, the managing director underlined the importance of the timely provision of required equipment and critical items.
Precise and orderly planning for the start of major maintenance operations requires the complete procurement of vital equipment and supplies in the shortest possible time, he said.
