Iran defense minister vows harsh response to any threat

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the house of Lt. General Hossein Salami, the former commander of Iran’s IRGC who was martyred in the Israeli regime’s aggression during the 12-day war, Nasirzadeh rejected the efforts by some countries to dismantle Iran’s missile program.

“Our missile capability is not something that can be destroyed, neither by bombs nor by negotiations,” Nasirzadeh said.

He added that the program could not be rolled back through international pressure, saying it would not be weakened by resolutions issued by countries “with a history of only 250 years.”

The defense minister stressed that Iran’s military strength had grown significantly since the 12-day war, Tasnim reported.

“Our military power today is far greater than during the 12-day war, and if any threat is directed at our country, we will respond to it decisively and without consideration,” Nasirzadeh said.
