Nicolas Maduro stated the governments of Turkey and Venezuela are setting up the bases for consolidating the strategic relations of union and cooperation.

'My gratitude to the people and government of Turkey, their hospitality ratifies the will and the mutual commitment to work for the full development of the potentialities of our nations. We have established the bases of union and deep cooperation,' the president wrote in his Twitter account.

The Venezuelan head of state is making a working visit to Turkey, where he attended the presidential inauguration of his peer Recep Tayyip Erdogan and led a meeting with Turkish businessmen aimed at expanding bilateral trade in different areas.

'We have proposed the Venezuela-Turkey Business Forum to expand the work meetings to increase Turkish investments in all fields of the Venezuelan economy. Let's make our dream of mutual development come true,' twitted Maduro after concluding a meeting with representatives of the business sector.

Maduro presented a portfolio of all investment opportunities and joint work, and put forward the strengths Venezuela has to offer foreign investors.
