AT LEAST 27 people have been killed in the city of Sanandaj, Iran, after an oil tanker collided with a passenger bus.
At least 27 people have been killed in Sanandaj following the collision of an oil tanker and a busSanandaj is the capital of the Kurdistan Province in Iran, and has a population of 414,069.
Video of the aftermath of the incident shows the bus and tanker engulfed in flames.
A number of people are also reported to have been severely injured during the collision.
According to reports, an oil tanker exporting south-Kurdistani oil to East-Kurdistan was involved in the crash.
One social media user commented on the crash, saying: “Kurdistan roads are very dangerous and there are always a lot of tankers and trucks on this route.”
