The situation in Syria has aggravated after temporary de-escalation, said Antonio Gutteres, UN Secretary General.
"After the hope connected with de-escalation of the situation in a number of regions resulting in de-escalation of the conflict, now we see the conflict is aggravating," he said at the international security conference in Munich indicating the situation in Adlib and Eastern Gutta.
"We see Turkey conducting the operation in Afrine, we see appearance of chemical weapons, we see the process of fragmentation in the country," he added.
Estimating the situation in the Near East, the UN Secretary General said "the region is split by numerous conflicts.
