TEHRAN, Jan. 31, 2011 -- In a news analysis published on Monday, the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) released a list of possible nominations for the post of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) director, according to Mehrnews.

The possible nominations are Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohammad Ahmadian, AEOI deputy director, Mohammad Qannadi, Nuclear Science and Technology Research Institute director, Parviz Fattah, former minister of energy, Kamran Daneshju, minister of science, research, and technology, and Ali Saeedlou, Physical Education Organization director.
In mid-December, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed former foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki and appointed current AEOI director, Ali Akbar Salehi, as the acting foreign minister.
On Saturday, the Iranian parliament approved Salehi as the foreign minister.
