Tehran, Jan 30, 2011 – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Sunday left Tehran for Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, to attend an African Union summit, according to IRNA.
According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 16th African Union Summit is to be held during January 30-31 in Addis Abeba.
The motto of the summit is "Towards Solidarity and More Unity through Common Values” with current developments in Ivory Coast, Sudan and Tunisia being on its agenda.
The Islamic Republic of Iran participates in the summit as an observer.
