PESHAWAR: Acting Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran in Peshawar Hasheem Ashjazadeh called on the University of Peshawar Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Azmat Hayat Khan, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

He discussed with him various educational development projects that the Iranian govt intends to initiate in Pakistan in the near future. Dr Azmat said that technical education needed improvement in Pakistan. The acting consul general said that his govt wanted to cooperate with Pakistan in the field of education. This would ultimately strengthen the relationship between the two brotherly countries.

Ashjazadeh added that universities in Iran wanted to start academic exchange programmes with the University of Peshawar and modalities in this regard were being finalised. staff report.
